Talent hunt for X-factor
Auckland s newest performing arts
school is seeking talented performers
who have the X-factor in acting, sing-
ing or dancing.
The school, a collaboration between
Manukau Institute of Technology and
South Seas Film and Television, is
holding auditions this month and next
for its February intake.
Industry professionals will help
students gain diploma, advanced dip-
loma or degree qualifications.
School head David Coddington says
it s a great chance for aspiring
performers to get a headstart in the

All quiet on housing front
House sales volume in the Papakura
Courier s circulation area went
through a quiet period last month.
Sales activity was down 30 percent
compared to this time last year.
The average house price in the area
in October was $341,000, down 4
percent on the average price achieved
for the past 12 months and also down
16 percent on the average price for
October last year, Barfoot & Thomp-
son s Peter Thompson says.
