Spectrum Care supports people with intellectual disabilities
and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to live in the community.
Our 'family' type culture and dedicated staff strive to create
the best quality of life for the people we serve.
We are looking for casual staff who are energetic, mature
and fun people to support our service users with challenging
behaviours that live together in residential homes.
Community Support Workers are based in residential homes
whereby they support the growth opportunities for adults or
children and assist them with the daily activities of outings,
education, work, socialising, community integration, etc.
The work also involves domestic chores, personal care/
hygiene and administration.
• Good people, verbal communication and numeracy
skills is essential
• Ability to work flexible hours particularly over weekends,
sleepover shifts and on-call hours
• Experience in working with people and specifically the
disability sector would be an advantage i.e. high needs,
wheelchairs/hoists, medication, challenging behaviours
and augmentative communication
• Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence with ability to drive
manual vehicles is a must
• Must be computer literate (use of Microsoft Office, email,
