PAPAKURA COURIER, MAY 23, 2012
Rediscover the joy of hearing with Bay Audiology.
Do you remember how fantastic sound can make you feel?
Whether it's the sound of the rain on the roof, or the simple
pleasure of sharing a joke with your family -- being able to hear well
again can make a person feel fresher, younger and rejuvenated.
Hearing loss deteriorates over time, so sometimes it's difficult to
recognize. If you can't hear the indicator in the car, the phone
ringing when you're outside, or if others complain you have the
TV too loud -- you'll benefit from having your hearing checked.
The Papakura community will now find it even easier to rediscover
the joy of hearing with the opening of second Bay Audiology
Papakura clinic. Located at 157 Great South Road, the new
Papakura Central clinic is located on the corner of Elliot Street,
across from the Town Clock.
Formerly run by National Hearing Care, the clinic team is a well
established part of the community, and is dedicated to providing
excellence in client care. They encourage anyone who is worried
about their hearing to come in for a free hearing check.
"A hearing check is very simple and only takes a few minutes.
Quite often no immediate action is required, but if you do find
you have a hearing loss, it's better to do something about it
sooner rather than later" says Lucy Cochrane, Charge Clinician
of Papakura Central.
"Many people with hearing loss are put off doing something
about it because they don't know what to expect or think it
will cost too much, but at Bay Audiology, we support our
clients every step of the way and work hard to find the right
solution for our clients needs" says Lucy.
With two convenient Papakura locations, it has never been
easier to bring back the sounds you love. For those of you
who are unsure about your hearing, our quick self test is an
easy way to check your hearing:
QUICK SELF TEST:
1. Do people seem to mumble or speak in a softer voice than
they used to?
2. Do people complain that you have the TV or radio too loud?
3. Do you have trouble understanding what someone says on
4. Is it difficult to follow what others are saying when there is
a lot of background noise?
5. Do you struggle to hear when someone is talking from
6. Have you, or are you still, working in a noisy environment?
If you answer YES to two or more of these questions then
you may be experiencing hearing loss and would benefit from
a free hearing check.
